All Majlis presentations are 40 minutes, with 30 minutes for content and 10 minutes for Q&A. Please work with your Epic Buddy if you have questions about the format of your presentation.

All presenters must use the Majlis Presentation Template

Epic Buddy

Each session is assigned an Epic Buddy to provide guidance and feedback as you prepare your slides. You’ll receive an email with your detailed session information and your Epic Buddy in late August.

PHI/PII

Avoid Sensitive Information

Avoid showing Protected Health Information (PHI) and Personally Identifiable Information (PII) in your presentation. This document outlines what is considered sensitive and how you can safely mask it.

PHI/PII Review Process

All presentations go through PHI/PII review before the slides are posted to the Session Archive site. If any PHI/PII is detected, a presentation will not be posted until all issues are resolved.

Common Infractions

The top three most common offenses include displaying patient dates, blurring or pixelating data instead of using solid shapes, and using moveable shapes in PowerPoint. To expedite this process, be sure your slides are safe to post upon submission.

Slide Updates

If you need to make slide updates after the presentation deadline, please reach out to your Epic Buddy.

Room Setup

If you plan to do an in-system demonstration or have any special technological needs (laptops, mobile devices, etc.), please let your Epic Buddy know as soon as possible.
